'I've never called them out': Turia Pitt opens up about social media trolls

Turia Pitt is no stranger to overcoming adversity.

The inspirational author, 9Honey columnist and mum-of-two is much admired for her strength and resilience after surviving catastrophic burns to her body over 10 years ago.

And now, Turia has opened up to 9Honey Parenting about being targeted by critics on social media - and how she chooses to fight back.

"I do have trolls and have received hateful messages, but I don't respond," she reveals.

"I've never called out my trolls, because I don't want to add more fuel to the fire," she adds.

"I don't know if it's the best way to handle it, but I don't want to pay them any more attention."

She also speaks out about sharing photos of her two young sons, Hakavai, four, and Rahiti, two, on Instagram.
