TikTok stars Alexandra Madison and Jon Bouffard welcome baby girl after unimaginable loss

TikTok personalities Alexandra Madison and Jon Bouffard have welcomed a baby girl just over a year after experiencing the unimaginable grief of a prior miscarriage.

In June last year, the couple revealed that they had experienced pregnancy loss and were grieving their unborn son.

Now, they have announced the safe arrival of their daughter and revealed her heartwarming name.

"Our hardest chapter brought us the sweetest beginning. Welcome home, Lucy Grey 🤍" Madison captioned a carousel of photos of herself, her husband and their newborn daughter.

Speaking to People, Madison revealed that her daughter's name had a special family meaning.

"It's Jon's grandma and my great-grandma – we both had grandmas with this same name and we just both loved it," she told the publication.

"I'm actually so excited to announce her name when she's born."

But it's not the only special detail associated with their happy arrival.

Among the series of photos the couple posted to welcome Lucy to the world one particular snap stands out.

It features a subtle, heartfelt nod to the son they lost.

It's a photo of Madison's necklace which includes two pendants each engraved with the letter 'L'.

One for their newborn daughter Lucy and one for Leo Grey, their son who will forever live on in their memories.

Madison and Bouffard shared last June that they had suffered pregnancy loss. The pair had announced that they were expecting months prior.

"We are absolutely devastated to share the news that we lost our sweet baby boy this week," the announcement began.

"There are no words that can truly capture the depth of this pain. Nothing can prepare you for this. Our hearts will never be the same."

"I had the privilege of carrying you for 26 weeks, and we will carry you in our hearts for a lifetime. Until we meet again, Leo Grey."

The pair have been vocal about their grief since losing their son on their socila media accounts.

In June this year, the couple shared the happy news that they were expecting again but explained that it came with an added layer of uncertainty after what they had gone through as a couple.

"Pregnancy after loss is a mixture of emotions to say the least," Madison wrote to Instagram as she shared the news.

"Moments of excitement are so easily overshadowed by feelings of grief, doubt, and worry. Following the loss of Leo, the thought of being pregnant again terrified me – and if I'm honest, it still does.

"After a late term loss, you become painfully aware that announcements at any stage are scary. There is no safe zone.

For those of you in the thick of grieving a loss or if you're struggling with infertility, I'm not here to tell you that there's light at the end of the tunnel," she added.

"While not a day goes by that I'm not grateful for this pregnancy, Jon and I are still navigating this journey with cautious optimism. What I can tell you, is that it's okay to protect your peace."
