Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson opens up about watching his daughter’s birth

Despite his tough on-screen personas, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a big softie at heart and has just opened up about watching his girlfriend Lauren Hashian give birth to their daughter, Tiana.

“I will say, it was the most amazing experience I’ve ever seen,” he said on Live with Kelly and Ryan. “I look at Lauren, and women, and mothers, in a different light than I ever have before. And it was beautiful.”

While Johnson has two older daughters, 16-year-old Simone with ex-wife Dany Garcia, and Jasmine aged two, with Hashian, this was the first time he witnessed the actual birth, People reported.

“I was encouraging her – holding her hand. And the doctor said, ‘Would you like to come down and watch and help?’ I said, ‘Yup, I’m going to come down. Watch. Help’,” he said.

He went on to detail that he was holding “legs and everything” when his third daughter entered the world.

Johnson first shared this intimate moment on Instagram, taking to the social media platform to remark how awe-inspiring watching the birthing process was.

“Word to the wise gentlemen, it's critical to be by your lady's head when she's delivering, being as supportive as you can... holding hands, holding legs, whatever you can do," he wrote.

"But, if you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer — watch your child being born. It's a life changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman, will forever be boundless."

It's not the first time the semi-retired professional wrestler, actor and producer has taken to social media to share his love for the women in his life either.

He also shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day post.
