Revealed: the baby names that will be big in 2022
Expecting a baby in 2022 and keen to steer clear of what everyone else is naming their babies - well this is a list you need to take a good look at.
Popular baby name website Nameberry released the list of popular names after collating data from the most searched names on their website over the year. Deeming these the names that are gathering the most attention for parents who are expecting a baby soon.
One of the biggest surprises on the lists this year was the top girl name prediction. Eloise has taken out the top stop, coming in from behind to become the predicted most popular girl name. It's popularity may be thanks to Netflix's widely successful hit Bridgerton, and the fifth-eldest Bridgerton sibling.

There also seemed to be a general rise in popularity for names that begin with 'El' such as Elias and Elodie.
The top boy name was also new but less of a surprise as it's been gaining popularity over the past few years. Arlo dominating the searches and replacing Milo which took out the top spot for 2021 though has now dropped to number eight.
Across the top 100 names for each gender there were a number of new additions, proving parent's have been spending their time in lockdown getting creative.

Juniper, Willow, Esther and Millie were part of the 15 new girl names. August, River, Ellis and Knox some of the 19 new boy names.
