Aussie kids given 'direct line' to Santa thanks to Telstra
You can give your kids the ultimate Christmas surprise this year - and it is completely free.
Telstra is offering free calls from Santa - all you need to do is find your nearest payphone.
"It still won't be easy this year to whisper a Christmas wish list into Santa's ear in person, so the next best thing is to give Santa a direct call and let him know what you really want to see under the tree," Telstra Group Executive, Consumer and Small Business Michael Ackland said.

From now until to Christmas Eve go to any Telstra payphone and dial #HOHOHO (#46 46 46) to have your kids delight in hearing from the white-bearded man himself.
Telstra will be donating $1 per call to Santa to the Salvation Army to help those who need it this Christmas. It's also a great opportunity to teach kids how to use a payphone, as they can be used to contact parents or caregivers in emergencies.
