Serena Williams’ candid admission about her tennis comeback after birth of daughter
Mere months after she gave birth to her daughter in September 2017, Serena Williams made her impressive return to professional tennis.
Reflecting upon her return to the sport after welcoming her baby girl, Alexis Olympia, the 37-year-old candidly admitted she really doesn’t know how she managed to do it.
“Obviously, grand slams are what’s most important to me,” she said on a recent appearance on the US Today show.

“I was really close last year, so close but literally just back from having the baby, and looking back, I don’t know how I did that.”
The star tennis player also admitted she shouldn’t have been so hard herself for not winning.
“I had the audacity to be upset when I didn’t win,” Williams explained, adding she reckons she has a “better shot now”.
Williams also discussed her marriage to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian revealing, “It’s been really, really fun.”
The couple married in November 2017, two months after welcoming their daughter, in a star-studded wedding attended by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kelly Rowland, Anna Wintour and Eva Longoria.
