Unexpected items new mums should pack in their hospital bag
Packing your hospital bag in the lead-up to giving birth is an exciting time.
While there are plenty of standard things, like toiletries, comfy PJs, nanna undies and baby clothes, that make the list, there are also a few items you might not necessarily think about packing that will be really useful during your stay.

Make sure you are well-equipped for downtime.
Bring a portable speaker so you can play music in your room, which is also a great form of distraction.
Headphones are also a great idea in case you want to listen to a podcast or TV series - whether you are sharing a room or not.
And don't forget an extra long charging cable for your phone, because you never know where the power points will be located in the room.

We also recommend a laundry bag - you and your new bub will undoubtedly go through a lot of clothes during your stay so keep it all separate. One less thing to think about once you get home.
