Paris Hilton's 'difficult' decision to use surrogate: 'Would've loved that experience'
Paris Hilton and her husband Carter Reum have opened up on their "difficult" decision to welcome their son via a surrogate.
In the premiere episode of the second season of her show Paris in Love, the mum of two, 43, explained how she came to explore surrogacy as an option to bring her firstborn, 10-month-old son Phoenix, into the world.

"Surrogacy was a difficult decision to make," she said.

"I would have loved that experience of growing the baby in your tummy and feeling the kicks and all of those exciting moments, but my life has just been so public.
"So even though the baby is biologically mine and Carter's, we decided to have a surrogate carry him."
Hilton and Reum welcomed their son in January 2023.

When Pheonix was born, the hotel heiress told fans, "He's so beautiful, so perfect. My life is finally complete. I'm so obsessed."
The couple have since welcomed a daughter, London, to the family, revealing the news last month.
"We have to think about safety," Reum said of the process of growing their family.

"When we go to the farmer's market, it's one thing if someone stops and asks Paris for a photo. It's a whole other thing with the baby in tow in a stroller.
"I don't think we know everything the journey's gonna throw at us, but we're just gonna tackle it as we go."
The second season of Hilton's reality show includes plenty of sweet family moments.

"From going through everything around releasing my memoir and talking to my family about it, and also surprising my mum on the show by meeting Phoenix for the first time. There are just so many special moments this season," she told People.
"And I'm excited for people to really get an inside look into everything happening in my life right now. I'm looking forward to just being in my mum era. I feel like it's my best era yet, and I'm just excited to show the world."
Hilton surprised fans with the news of her second child in late November, taking to Instagram to say, "Thankful for my baby girl."

Her followers were overjoyed, with one commenting, "Oh my heart!!!!! Congratulations Paris!!!! Your family is beautiful and I can't wait to meet London"
Another shared, "Oh my God, Paris I know you've been planning on this name for years. Congratulations!!!"
