The baby name causing a stir online

There are some absolute shocker baby names out there, and while they are good to make fun of in theory, it’s the name that a little human will be stuck with for life.

One mother has taken to the forum Mumsnet to ask advice on her baby name choice. And thank goodness she asked for our opinion, because this poor child may have just avoided a life time of ridicule.

Posting in the forum, the anonymous mum wrote: “What do you think of Princess for a girl?”

Allowing people let rip what they really thought of the moniker.

“Dreadful,” put one user quite blunty.

Among a series of “no’s” and “awful’s”, quite a few people brought up Katie Price who famously named her eldest daughter Princess, because she was “their little princess”.

At just 7-years-old, Princess’ father – Peter Andre – revealed that she was already thinking of changing her name.

"Princess is telling me she doesn’t want me to call her Princess," he told Hello magazine in 2014.

Other commenters on Mumsnet conceded that, you should only have that name, if you are in the royal family.

“I hate it. You should only be called Princess if you are a Princess,” wrote one user.

With another hilariously adding: “Unless your giving birth to a teacup Chihuahua, it’s a no from me.”
