Mum shares hilarious video of father mixing up their twins

Taking care of a baby is hard, but taking care of two at the same time is even worse: twice the number of nappies, double the mouths to feed, and two times as many names to remember. While many may assume the last part is the easiest, one parent begged to differ.

In a hilarious series of videos posted to TikTok, mother Kayla Davalos shared the difficulty she and her partner have when trying to distinguish between their twin newborns.

One of the videos shows the father holding both baby boys and trying to have a conversation with one, only to realise he'd been addressing the bub by the wrong name.

"Holy s– I think I got the babies wrong again," he laughed.

In another clip, her partner tries to put one of the babies to sleep in their personal sleep sack as the twins sleep in different sacks. But, he doesn't know which boy he's holding and Kayla teases him by getting him to try guess.

"This would go a lot faster if you would just tell me who this is," he said while holding the adorable newborn.

"This is ridiculous," laughs Kayla, "That one does not go in the sleep sack."

In the comments of an earlier video, a TikTok user asked how Kayla distinguished the boys and she admitted, "I kept their hospital bracelets on for two weeks."

TikTok commenters loved the Davalos' antics.

"The way he looked him direct in the face and still said I don't know. Poor man is trying. I love how the mamas always know," said one user.

Another said, "the humble heart this man had to ask you this question. I love it."

While they received a few comments shaming them for being unable to tell the difference between their sons, most TikTok users with twins loved the video and said they had a very similar experience.

"Anyone mad at this has never had twins cause y'all this is like a regular convo," said one.

Another shared her own mix-up story: "I was sleep deprived and grabbed the wrong twin to go to the hospital. Realised when he smiled during the exam. Went home and got the right one."
