One of the responsibilities of being a parent is complimenting your kids' drawings no matter how average or odd they may be. And in no circumstance should the drawings be laughed at.

One mum however, couldn't help herself when her son handed her a drawing he did of a bat with a sweet message that sent her into a fit of laughter. She shared the picture online with fellow parents who also found it hilarious.

Mum-of-four Claire Lowe posted the photo of her son's drawing on the Facebook group Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas.

What was meant to be a sweet message, ended up being quite rude.  Facebook

The little boy accidently spelt 'hero' incorrectly however and it read 'hore'.

Lowe wrote "Not quite my son" in the post to the Facebook page which left users chuckling at the unintentionally rude message.

The post was flooded with hundreds of laughing emojis, as parents shared similar stories of their kids misspelling or pronouncing words when younger.

One person shared, "My friend wrote a birthday card to her son. Unfortunately, her spelling is terrible and she wrote 'to my pervert son' instead of perfect and, of course, we won't ever let her forget it!".
