Jessie J pays tribute to her 'angel baby' in emotional post marking one year since miscarriage

Jessie J has marked one year since losing her baby through miscarriage with an emotional post.

The UK singer, 34, shared a note to her Instagram stories, describing grief as a 'weird and personal journey' and saying though time had helped, the pain would never truly fade.

Saying she felt her baby's presence 'everywhere', she sent 'love and strength' to others who were going through or had experienced pregnancy loss.

"A year ago today I was told my baby no longer had a heartbeat," she wrote.

"Although I can tell the story now without crying, have and still am discovering all the positives that experience gave me. Strength, wisdom, empathy, gratitude.

"It still hurts and all day I have just been thinking about all the women and men and families who have been through this numerous times and how incredibly strong they are."

Jessie shared the devastating news of her loss last year, having embarked on a solo fertility journey after being told she would not be able to have a child of her own, and kept the pregnancy private.

The Bang Bang singer, who had planned to raise the baby on her own, revealed she was told there was no heartbeat during her third scan.

The star opened up about her loss in a raw post last year, detailing the physical and emotional trauma of the experience.

She added that she hoped pregnancy loss would become less taboo, allowing women to speak more openly.

"I have never experienced physical pain and trauma or felt loneliness like it. This has changed me forever. In the most, heartbreaking, but beautiful way. It's put life into perspective in a way nothing else ever has," she said.

"Losing your baby is one of the worst feelings in the world," she added. "... to anyone who may not have been told this, you are allowed to be broken. You are allowed to cry."
