If her Instagram is anything to go by, it's safe to say Jennifer Garner is a pretty hands-on mum. That's why, when she posted her feels about the end of the school holidays, we knew it was gonna be good.

The 46-year-old actress shared a meme on Instagram that perfectly conveyed how holidays with kids feels.

At the start of the break, we feel fresh and ready to tackle a whole host of activities, right? By the end? Yep, pure carnage.

In the meme, Garner used a photo of herself looking prepared and professional - holding a piece of paper that says 'Fun Summer Ideas' - underneath the caption 'Moms: First day of Summer'.

The photo next to it was of her covered in blood on the set of her newest film, Peppermint.

The hilarious post was captioned ‘#backtoschool #iwillmissthembut... and #godblessteachers’.

Instagram followers jumped into the comments section, telling Garner that she "nailed it" with the post.  "This is the best", one user wrote. "You are so funny!" said another.

Garner is mother to three kids, Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine and Samuel, six. The actress is famously candid about #momlife on her social media, posting videos of how to make pudding, her terrible present-wrapping skills, and how she reads children's books to her dog.

She even started a competition to get her followers to name the new chick in her chicken pen. (They went with 'Hennifer'.)

It's certainly refreshing, considering she spends the other half of her life in professional makeup and thousand-dollar dresses.
