Hi-5 star Lauren Brant shares candid birthing video with partner Barry Hall
Former Hi-5 star Lauren Brant has shared a candid video of herself and partner Barry Hall during the birth of their second child.
The couple welcomed a baby boy, Houston, last month and now Brant has taken to Instagram to detail what her labour was like compared to the birth of her first son, Miller.
Admitting she “didn’t feel in control” and that she and her former AFL star partner did not “understand every aspect of what was happening emotionally, physically or spiritually” first time around, the television personality wanted to feel “enlightened” with the birth of her second child.

This time, the couple worked with a doula to learn about the “incredible journey” of birth and the “primitive instincts” that comes with being a mother and a father.
“We listened to birthing related affirmations and meditations at night and I really tuned into my mind, body and baby leading up to the birth,” Brant explained in her post.
In the video, the 30-year-old mum is seen in the midst of labour with Hall alongside her, listening to calming music and breathing through her contractions.
Brant described it as a “dance of the most deeply connected and energised teamwork” in order to welcome their baby into the world “at the right time in the most calm way”.
When it came time to deliver their second son, Brant’s fiancé was right there where she needed him.
“When that moment arrived, I had Barry on the floor kneeling right next to me, with his soothing & supportive voice in my ear, and his reassuring touch applying a cooling aid exactly when needed - we sobbed tears of love, joy & enlightenment as individuals and as a couple when we met Houston and sealed our spiritual achievement with the most magical kiss!” she said.
The mum-of-two described the moment as “the most incredible journey” she has ever been on.
Brant and Hall met back in 2015 when they were both starring on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and confirmed they were together the following year.
They welcomed their first son Miller in May 2017.
