Chaotic gender reveal ends in unexpected disappointment

Finding out the gender of your baby in front of loved ones is usually a special moment for parents, but one UK family will remember it for all the wrong reasons.

While Danielle and her fiancé, Frankie, were excited to find out if the new addition to their family would be a boy or girl, in a video posted to their Instagram, things take an unexpected turn right before the gender reveal moment.

You can see their daughter holding an object, ready to pop the black balloon filled with pink or blue confetti, to reveal the baby's gender.

The excited sister-to-be fails to pop the balloon, prompting family and friends to chant; "go,go,go".

She becomes nervous and throws the sharp object onto the deck.

As the mum reacts and turns to discipline the child... she lets go of the balloon!

It's then caught in wind and blown into the air before anyone has a chance to catch it, and then the video abruptly ends.

Rest assured, unlike those at the party, we do find out the gender of the child. According to The Sun, since the viral video was posted, the mother has given birth to a healthy baby boy named Lawson.
