Dad climbs into crib to soothe baby, can’t get back out

Soothing a wide-awake baby in the middle of the night is a struggle all mums know only too well.

However, dads often do things a little differently - as this father attempted to do when he climbed into his baby’s cot to try to soothe her to sleep.

Nunzio Raso from Ontario, Canada tried to send his daughter Michela to sleep by lying down with her (thankfully, her crib could hold up to 110kg). The plan worked initially; Michela snuggled down onto his chest and dozed off almost instantly.

However, the problem then arose when Nunzio tried to get back out of the crib and woke his daughter up. Again and again. 

At one point, she can be seen lying across her father’s stomach. 

Nunzio tried repeatedly to escape, but all attempts are futile. He later admitted that he was stuck for an amazing six hours before making it back to the comfort of his own bed.

That’s not to say the dad hasn’t learnt from his experience - he now regularly posts videos of his children to his YouTube channel.

Offering advice to other dads, he said: “Life can be challenging as a full-time father. What parents go through is a challenge in itself.”
