She may be one of the most beloved celebrities on social media, but Chrissy Teigen has never been one to shy away from the truth.

The mum of two has opened up about the postpartum depression she suffered after giving birth to daughter Luna, now two.

"After Luna, I was drinking too much," she tells Women's Health.

"I wasn't eating as much because I was full from drinking. I wasn't being good to my body. I remember being so bruised from nothing."

The 32-year-old – who first opened up about her mental health struggles last year – says it was "tortuous" to feel that way.

The beloved star began the road to recovery with antidepressants and a trip to a wellness retreat in Bali with husband, singer John Legend.

"It's like, what could be more important than mental health," she asks.

Teigen gave birth to her second child, Miles, in May and admits she hasn't been one of those mums who lost all their baby weight due to breastfeeding.

"I haven't found that at all," she says.

"It’s not the same for everybody."

Teigen – who rose to fame as a swimsuit model – reveals becoming a mother has relaxed her quest to maintain an 'ideal' weight.

"Honestly, I don't ever have to be in a swimsuit again," she says.

"Since I was 20 years old, I had this weight in my mind that I am, or that I'm supposed to be. I've been so used to that number for 10 years now. And then I started realising it was a swimsuit-model weight. There's a very big difference between wanting to be that kind of fit and wanting to be happy-fit."

One that she says has certainly changed, is the shape of her breasts thanks to breastfeeding two children.

"I look at my boobs and I’m like, What the heck happened? They face outwards now," she confesses.

"They're like giant disks. I don't even know how to hide them."
