Little boy's Bunnings birthday party is classic ‘Straya

Perth boy Carter Stingers loves going to Bunnings with his dad.

Adores it.

In fact, the iconic hardware store holds such a big place in the little one's heart that he chose it as the theme for his fourth birthday party.

"He is a big fan of Bunnings and has told me that he wants to work there when he is bigger," Carter's mum Kylie told theWest Australian.

Going all-out on everything Bunnings-related, Carter's party included a garden centre, a paint centre and of course, a sausage sizzle. "I think that was first on Carter’s list of food for the party," Kylie said.

Guests could take their plant and figurine creations home afterwards.

The local store even donated pencil cases and balls, and friends who were employees provided aprons, bunting and balloons. 

Not only was the theme super inventive, it was easy on the wallet, too. "It was way cheaper than any other kids party more because we had such generous donations of party bags and decorations from Bunnings," Carter's mum said.

The party has seen the pre-schooler praised for being an "Aussie legend", but most importantly it seems Carter had a great time.

"Carter said it was the best party ever. Some of his party guests even got him gift cards to spend. He was even more excited to do that."

Carter should definitely include these adorable photos on his future Bunnings job application – he'd be a shoo-in!
