'It's Mr Burns': Mum-to-be stunned by awkward detail in ultrasound photo

A pregnant woman in the UK has expressed her shock at discovering an awkward image of her baby in her ultrasound scan. 

Alexandria Preston, who is in her second trimester of expecting her first child, took to social media to share a video of the baffling images.

"Looking at my scan pics thinking my baby is going to be so cute," she captions the video posted to her TikTok account.

In the footage, Preston slowly pans the lens of her mobile phone down five sonogram images. 

She stops abruptly on the fifth image which reveals a scan of her baby with what could be considered a rather distinctive, pointy nose.

"Not a Pinocchio baby," she captioned her post, making reference to what appears to be an elongated nose.

TikTok users soon flooded her comment section with theories as to the unusual image, some even suggesting it shared a likeness with a The Simpsons character.

"That's Mr Burns from the Simpsons," one TikTok user commented.

"I swear the ultrasound techs take the WORST photos on purpose," another wrote.

Many commented on the scan as though it shared a likeness to The Simpsons character, Mr Burns. TikTok

Others offered comfort to the mother-to-be.

"Aww haha that's his little hand in front of the nose," one user wrote.

"My kid looked like Venom on the first scan. Didn't come out looking like venom though," another commented.
