Failing fabulously: Julia Morris reveals the 'disgraceful' blunder that almost ruined her

This kind of feels like an AA meeting but here goes anyway… Hello I’m Shelly and I hate failing.

I’m a little Miss Type A personality. But that also means I’m a perfectionist and I worry a lot.  So, when I fail, which I do often, I fall to pieces.  I figure most people, particularly women, are not great with the F word either.

I think we need to learn a bit about dealing with failure and how to not see it as, well, a failure, but rather something to learn from on our path to success.

So I came up with this idea for a podcast series called Failing Fabulously.  I’d interview high profile women who seem to have 'Instagram perfect' lives but I’d ask them to reveal when it all went to pieces both in their career and personal lives.  If they share their faceplants, we can all learn from them and not be so afraid to try in case we bomb out.

First cab off the rank is my talented friend Julia Morris.

Julia truly is Australia’s First Lady of Comedy - as well as being an award-winning stand up, she has hosted a number of TV shows including I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Australia’s Got Talent, Singing Office, and the soon to be aired Blind Date and Sunday Night Takeaway.

She’s won both Celebrity Apprentice and It Takes Two. Julia travels the country doing stand up and corporate gigs and even found the time to write her memoir Don’t You Know Who I Used To Be?
