Failing Fabulously: Kerri-Anne Kennerley on why failure is the new "f-word"

It’s no secret we love royals here at 9Honey, so it’s perfectly appropriate that I spoke to the Queen of Morning TV, Kerri-Anne Kennerley.

For the second instalment of my podcast Failing Fabulously, I chat to Kerri-Anne about the highs and lows of showbiz.

She’s one of the few stars who has successfully skipped from Channels Nine, Seven, Ten and Foxtel. And she’s been doing it for 50 years and counting.

That’s a lot of shows starting and a lot of shows getting axed, and yet she doesn’t see any of them as a failure.

Kerri-Anne thinks we should swap the word “failure” with “experience” — plus, she has some great tips on how to pick yourself up again if things do go wrong.

So maybe that's the secret of her success?

I mean, she began her TV career at just 14 years old when she hosted an afternoon children’s program, Everybody In, for the Nine Network.

She moved to Channel Ten, landing a career changing job as co-host of Good Morning Australia.

In 1995 Kerri-Anne returned to Ten to host Monday to Friday with Kerri-Anne. Then back to Nine for Midday. Then she spent another nine years there hosting Mornings with Kerri-Anne.

She worked for Seven on Dancing with the Stars, Sunday Night and made guest appearances on Sunrise and The Morning Show. Now she’s at Channel Ten as a co-host of Studio 10.

In 2017, Kerri-Anne became the third woman in history to join the TV Week Logie Hall of Fame.
