The Duchess of Cambridge will give birth to her third child in April
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have revealed they are due to welcome their third child in April.
Prince William and his wife Kate announced the news in a one-sentence statement released by Kensington Palace this morning.
"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April," the statement said.

The announcement satisfies speculation in the media of the progress of the Duchess' pregnancy since it was revealed last month.
However it is unclear why the palace decided to release the information now.
Kate stepped out yesterday for her second public appearance since announcing her third pregnancy.
Her blossoming baby bump was on full display in a pink Orla Kiely dress as she danced with an actor in a Paddington Bear suit on the platform of a London train station.
After spending the first few weeks of her pregnancy indoors suffering hyperemesis gravidarium, Kate appeared back to her exuberant self and determined to brave royal engagements once more.
