Dan and Honor Carter announce pregnancy, expecting baby number three

New Zealand rugby superstar Dan Carter has revealed he and his wife Honor are expecting their third child together.

The couple made the announcement on Instagram today, posting a sweet photo of them with their sons Marco, five, and Fox, three, on a beach.

"Family is the most important thing in the world to me. With @honorcarter being the best and most dedicated wife/mother, it excites me to know we are adding to our family," Dan's post read.

Honor also posted the same photo to her account.

"Very excited another little Carter will be added to our family soon," her post read.

She also shared the hashtags "BabyCarter", "BabyNo3" and "Partyof5".

The 36-year-old dad married long-time girlfriend Honor, a former professional hockey player, in 2011.

The sports star is set to play in Japan on two-year deal with the Kobelco Steelers, but Honor and his two sons were expected to live in New Zealand while he did so.

In 2004 and 2005, Carter was voted sexiest New Zealand male in a survey.

Just this week, Dan opened a brewery named Brick Lane Brewing in Melbourne.
