'It probably does f--- all': Dame Helen Mirren slams skincare product she represents

As the face of one of the world's leading beauty brands, you'd imagine that it's written into your contract to sing the praises of said company at all times. 

Unfortunately, Dame Helen Mirren didn't get the memo – or chose to blatantly ignore it – while speaking to press at a L’Oreal Paris event recently. 

Sitting on panel in the South of France, the brand ambassador speculated that using the skincare line was probably somewhat of a placebo for her. 

“I’m an eternal optimist - I know that when I put my moisturiser on it probably does f--- all, but it just makes me feel better," she said to a stunned crowd. 

"I’ve always said to L’Oreal as well that I will only do what makes me feel better."

If by "making me feel better" she means getting out of her contract with the beauty giant, she may have just gotten her wish.
