Mother defends 'controversial' video of her husband and nanny dancing after TikTok users call it 'grounds for divorce'

A father's "sultry dance" moves have been labelled "grounds for divorce" after footage surfaced of him dancing with his children's 23-year-old nanny.

In a video shared to TikTok, a father of two known as Andrew can be seen being picked up by the nanny, before he lifts her up by the waist and wrap their arms around each other.

Displaying a Dirty Dancing-esque routine, Andrew's wife and mother of their two young sons, Rachel posted the video alongside the caption "the nanny-dad content no one asked for."

The clip adds, "watch those hands" as Andrew holds the nanny below the arm pits while hoisting her in the air.

While Rachel appeared to be in favour of the routine, writing "kids have the audacity to interrupt important business," noting her son's distracting presence during the dance, in the clip she can be heard shouting "you touched her boobs!"

Andrew laughs in reply saying: "I know, I know."

Rachel defended the "innocent" behaviour, noting their nanny Lizzie is like "family".

"This is what happens ... when dad comes home before the nanny leaves."

The video that has since received over seven million views however, did not sit well with a majority of social media users.

"The fact that they were both insanely comfortable doing this is unsettling," slammed one user.

Another joked: "My wife divorced me solely for watching this video."

One person noted, "What they're doing doesn't even look fun. They just like touching each other."

Nannies also claimed they would never engage in similar behaviour around their male employer.

One woman who'd been a "nanny for 15 years" said, "never in my life has anything like this happened."

Rachel explained she met Lizzie while dropping her oldest son off at daycare.

"She was always the nicest, the sweetest. She would send pictures all day, and we would talk all day," she shared in a follow up video.

"She wasn't like the other people that worked there, and I wasn't like the other mums. We were, like, friends."

During the pandemic, the couple hired Lizzie to help, while Rachel went to work and Andrew worked from home.

Rachel confirmed there wasn't time for her husband to cheat on her because he worked upstairs while Lizzie watched the kids downstairs.

Since both of the couples have returned to work, Rachel explained "on the rare occasion she does see him, they're so happy to see each other, because she's like our little sister."

"We love her to death. She's really goofy and weird and we can joke around and mess with her, and vice versa," she added.

Rachel slammed the backlash to her original dance video imploring users to "stop attacking" their nanny.

"She's an angel. She's a godsend to our family and people are attacking her like she's some sort of s**t," she said.

Lizzie added: "I'm not being groomed, everybody can calm down."
