A 14-year-old British schoolboy has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal shooting of a father-of-two while allegedly discussing a bullying incident.
According to The Mirror, Lee Holt, 32, was found with a single gunshot wound after police were called to an address in Lancashire, in the north of England, yesterday.
Mr Holt was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. He is believed to have two young daughters.
Police have since arrested a fourteen-year-old boy who is being held on suspicion of murder.
An unnamed neighbour told the newspaper they heard the gun shot.
"I was sat at home, it was very loud", they said.
"Within a few minutes you could hear all the police arriving."
Local people have spoken of their shock that such a tragedy could take place in the small village of Oswaldtwistle.
"It’s a huge surprise. Normally this area it is what you see, just a nice quiet place."
Police say they believe this was an isolated incident.
"A 14 year old boy from Accrington has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody", a Lancashire Police spokesperson confirmed.
