Politician accidentally makes hilarious comments about balls and coronavirus
Explaining social distancing rules has been quite the confusing task for some politicians - but for one, it turned into a comedy routine.
New York politician Laura Curran was outlining the rules of engagement for public tennis courts when her description of how to handle equipment sent the audience into hysterics.
Curran advised people who weren't from the same team not to touch other players' balls while using the courts.

Adopting popular pandemic methods of interaction, she recommended people use their feet instead to pass balls between players.
"You can kick their balls, but you can't touch them,'' she said.
While the audience attempted to steer away from high school immaturity, a wave of laughter quickly rippled through the crowd.
Curran immediately realised her mistake.
"I'm gonna blush, sorry," she said.
The Nassau County Executive attempted to explain proper COVID-19 precautions but couldn't stop laughing for the remainder of the conference.
Instead, she decided to play on the pun.
"To avoid confusion between whose balls are whose, you can use a marker, like a Sharpie, to mark out an X or put someone's initials on them,'' she said.
Curran's comments quickly circulated the Internet, with users on Twitter reposting the video and questioning: "Have we reached peak stupidity yet?"
Curran took a brief moment to laugh once realising her comment. Twitter

"We're literally living in a comedy show," wrote another.
By the end of the conference, even the security guards were laughing along with Curran.

It's not the first time the state of New York has embraced coronavirus comedy, with the New York City Health department previously releasing a graphic outline of all the do's and don'ts when it comes to 'finding love' during lockdown.
The statement made headlines for telling singles to "consider taking a break from in-person dates," and rely on "video dates, sexting or chat rooms" during the pandemic.
There are currently 1.55 million cases of coronavirus in the United States, 361,000 of which are in the state of New York.
