Cody Simpson opens up about romance with Emma McKeon: 'She's one of the greatest'
Cody Simpson has opened up about his famously private romance with Emma McKeon.
The professional swimmer and his younger sister Alli sat down with Richard and Christian Wilkins as the latest guests on their new tell-all podcast The Apple & The Tree.
The Gold Coast sibling duo, who are only a year apart, talked about their close-knit family's journey, Hollywood, Cody's Olympic Games dreams and, of course, his relationship with Australian swimming sensation McKeown.

Despite Cody finding international stardom with his music career and swimming, and Alli with her acting credentials, the dynamic pair have remained down to earth.
On the podcast, Cody looked back on his teenage years, explaining he "left formal schooling in grade eight".
"We all moved to the US when I was only 14… Alli would have been 13," he said.

Cody opened up about how having his family with him, particularly as his star rose and his network of friends including the Kardashians and Hadids grew, created a "level of normalcy and reality to a very unreal world".
"It was important for mum and dad not to split the family up," Alli explained.
Cody joked, "they were half expecting it to be a six-month adventure… not a 10-year one."

After discussing his family and career, the conversation turned to Simpson's love life.
"To be able to share this stuff, Cody, with your partner, I mean must be great, right?" Richard asked Simpson of his relationship with McKeon.
The singer joined the Australian Swim team in 2022. Not long after, Cody and McKeon went public with their relationship.
"She's one of the greatest," Cody said. He added: "I learn from her example often".
"And to be able to have that understanding, that mutual understanding at home and when we're training is special, to have that kind of connection..." Simpson continued.

The Pretty Brown Eyes singer confirmed "it's nice to be able to do it together".
Richard then asked the swimmer's sister Alli to weigh in on the relationship.
Alli confirmed the family are just as happy with the match, calling McKeon "lovely".

"Emma is just gorgeous and I love that they both have that mutual understanding," she said, adding her brother "has never seemed happier so that's all we want".
