Can a relationship survive cheating?
Oh man when it comes to cheating I cannot be more black and white. I don’t think a relationship can survive cheating.
I was in a relationship where he cheated and we tried to repair our relationship. No amount of couples counselling could renew my trust. I wish I’d left the day I found out and saved a lot of money and tears.
Then I ended up cheating on him in a pathetic attempt at revenge. I felt so checked out of the relationship I couldn’t care less if found out. So my theory is if you are cheating you don’t want to be in the relationship and you should leave.
My husband and I have agreed that if either one cheats the marriage dissolves that day. No second chance. We have set very clear boundaries like that.
However, I know some couples can survive cheating. ome even say it brought them closer.
One couple I know even went on to renew their vows to show how cheating wouldn’t break them up.
I think they’re weirdos and they’re lying to themselves.
The 9Honey Superstars had a lot to say on this topic in the video above.
