Boyfriend proposes to girlfriend with ring his ex turned down
A woman has been urged to leave her boyfriend after divulging he proposed to her with a ring he originally purchased for his ex-girlfriend.
Posting to a Facebook group for 'shaming' engagement and wedding rings, the woman shared a picture of a silver and diamond ring, explaining where it came from.
"My BF tried to propose with this ring 2 years ago," she informed the group's 45,000 members.
"I said yes at first, but after finding out he bought it for his ex I said no to his proposal.
"Now, two years later I'm still with him but I will NEVER forget that he gave me this ring and probably won't accept a proposal anytime soon."
The overwhelming response from the community was that the woman should ditch her re-gifting boyfriend and go after what she deserves.

"You don't need a new mani, you need a new MAN. Yikes," wrote one woman, with another adding it was "disrespectful."
"Pls get a new ring and I'd say a new man too. I don't know you at all but I know you don't deserve this for sure," wrote another.
"Why are [you] with him if he gave [you] a second-hand ring? I'd get rid of him and the damn ring," another questioned.
One commenter told her what her boyfriend should have done: "That's mad disrespect! You are a new woman and he should have got a ring that was specifically for you."
Of course, being a ring-shaming group, people also had plenty to say about the rock itself, regardless of the situation.
"That's one dirty diamond," judged one person, with another adding: "Holy hell, I've seen cleaner industrial diamonds."
