A boyfriend's adorable tradition of wearing a different costume every time he collects his girlfriend from the airport is inspiring romantics everywhere.

Alex Pardee has been welcoming his girlfriend, Chloe Rice, home in his unique fashion for years now and it doesn't look like he'll be stopping any time soon.

The LA-based artist has dressed up as everything from a beekeeper, to the devil, to fantasy heartthrob Jon Snow from HBO's Game of Thrones.

Pardee often pairs his outfits with 'punny' signs referencing his costume, such as the "I hella miss you Chloe" sign he carried while dressed as a devil.

Rice, who is a creative advertisement photographer for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, travels pretty frequently for her work, meaning Pardee has plenty of chances to show off his clever costumes.

His latest arrivals gate attire included an inflatable sloth suit paired with a sign that read: "Welcome home Chloe, time has felt so slow without you".

Not one to do anything by halves, Pardee also insisted on walking through the airport at a sloth-like pace as he wheeled Rice's bags out on a trolley, the hilarious act caught in a video the couple later shared to social media.

"You can see why I was in such a hurry to get home and hang out with this creature," Rice joked in her Instagram caption.

But don't worry, Pardee isn't the only one having fun with the tradition.

Just last month Rice surprised him by dressing up as none other than a no. 2 pencil when she went to pick him up from the airport, Pardee sharing the adorable snaps on Instagram.

"I know how crazy @ohchloe's schedule is, so it made me feel really special that she pencilled in time to pick me up from the airport," he joked in the caption.

"It says No. 2 but she's my No. 1 for sure."

These two are living proof that sometimes being silly is the best way to show your love for someone, and frankly I'm here for it.
