Parents prank babysitter with incredible list of rules

A first job is a lot of responsibility, so we can only imagine how one teen felt when she turned up to babysit and was met with a detailed set of rules that don’t exactly match the usual role description…

While most parents are, understandably, nervous about leaving their children with a new person, one couple decided to use the opportunity to have some fun, and left an unconventional list of rules for their unsuspecting young babysitter.

Titled “Rules & Tips”, the list encouraged the temporary guardian to “Let the kids have as much sugar as they want, as long as they will go away.”

The parents offered up some bizarre suggestions for passing the time, such as: “I encourage the kids to watch as much TV as possible so they will leave you the hell alone. Feel free to do the same.” They even went so far as to suggest that the babysitter breastfeeds the children: “They do still breastfeed on demand, just download a video on YouTube – it’s not that hard…”

The parents also encouraged the cardinal sin of babysitting – having boys over  - as long as she could “make sure they have a dad/uncle/brother/friend that I can call later”.

The list was shared by the boyfriend of the babysitter (who hopefully never made an appearance at the house) and has since been retweeted over 17,000 times.

Most found the list hilarious, but one user seemed to be shocked at the breastfeeding rule – the boyfriend replied saying “We still tryna figure out if that’s a joke or not.”
