A mother has gone the extra mile and adopted a baby boy after discovering that she was already fostering his biological siblings.

Katie Page from Colorado, USA, first adopted her son Grayson in 2017 and went viral when she later fostered a second child, Hannah, and realised she was Grayson's sister.

The mum's discovery made headlines and she started the process of adopting Hannah too in 2018, eager to keep the siblings together.

In 2019 she formally adopted Hannah, now three, and alongside Grayson, now four, the trio became a little family.

But now three is becoming four, as Page adopts Hannah and Grayson's third sibling, a little boy named Jackson.

The one-year-old was put into the foster system by his birth mother – who is also Hannah and Grayson's birth mother – but she used false details, making the connection to Hannah and Grayson harder to spot.

Fortunately, a caseworker realised who the one-year-old boy was and stepped in, letting Page know there was another sibling looking for a family.

"When Jackson came along, I just felt the best I could give him are his family and siblings that he identifies and feels connected to," the mum told Good Morning America.

Eager to reunite the little boy with his siblings, Page began the adoption process for a third time and on June 25, the adoption was finalised over video call.

The entire process was simpler for Page this time round, but it was a different story when she fostered Hannah.

When the little girl arrived, Page had no clue she was related to Grayson, as the birth mother had again given false details.

But over time, Page began noticing similarities between the two children.

"There were features on the babies that were very similar," she told People in 2019.

"They both have a chin dimple and the other feature is one that only a mama would see because it's covered by their diaper!"

Initially she assumed the pair must have shared a father, but no one at the adoption agency thought the kids could be related.

A few months and a DNA test later, she had proof: Hannah and Grayson shared a mother.

The discovery made it much easier for Page to officially adopt Hannah in 2018, and now with Jackson's addition to the family, all three siblings will grow up together.

They'll also be in contact with two of their older biological siblings, Taylor and EadyGrace, whose parents Kaci and Dustin Whitney are in regular contact with Page.
