Reckless hen snatches cat's lunch out of its claws

The cat paws at the rodent repeatedly, but each time the little guy escapes the clutches of its claws.

It's a literal game of cat and mouse.

Then out of nowhere, a brutal beak snatches up the mouse in one swift movement.

It's basically the animal world's version of trying to eat something delicious with siblings.

The video is fast going viral, with the majority of its 11,000 views taking place in the past few days.

While it's not the happiest stories – the cat missed out on lunch and the mouse didn't live to see another day – there are lessons we can learn here.

The moral of the story?

Don’t hesitate, don't muck around with your food and never, ever trust a chicken.
