VIDEO: Animator creates beautiful optical illusion in the woods
- Horrifying reveal: There are way more rats in this video than it seems
- Talented hands: This song is so impossible, you need 14 people to play it
Prepare to feel entirely inadequate for the way you spend your spare time.
While most of us mindlessly scroll through Instagram/stare blankly in the black abyss in our down time, animator Kevin Parry makes videos like these.
This optical illusion was created at 6am in the great outdoors, meaning Parry was up and at 'em, creating beautiful art while most of us were sleeping.
Parry, an animator who worked on films like The Boxtrolls and Kubo and the Two Strings, uploaded the clip to his personal Instagram account a week ago, and it has since gone viral.
The video, captioned with "Walk in the Woods" is just shy of cracking 100,000 views after just a week, enthralling Instagrammers.
"Omg I get it haha," subiebeauty said.
"Maybe I don't," they said, one comment later.
The video prompted a bit of a Q&A session as fans asked this magician to reveal his secrets.
In the comments section, Parry told fans he used After Effects to edit the clip.
"It's pretty simple, and actually one shot," he said.
"I just try to make what I think is cool at the time and see where it takes me."
Parry made his first animation as a teenager, and turned his talent into a career.
When he's not working on movies, he's doing things like this:

If you're a fan of optical illusions, we sincerely recommend you follow him on Instagram, and check out his YouTube channel.
We can't take any responsibility for how ashamed you will feel of your complete lack of extracurricular activities, however.
