Horse runs straight into deceptively deep puddle

Never trust a puddle, guys.

Not only is there a very real danger they’re made up of a liquid that’s not water, they can be deceptively deep. 

You can look at them on the street and think there is only a few centimetres of water in them.

But when you step into one, it turns out it goes deeper than the plot of Inception.

A rider was galloping along the shore at Exmouth Beach in England and thought nothing of the puddle ahead.

Horse and rider ploughed on, completely underestimating the depth of the water.

And it turns out, it was deep, man.

Luckily, it looks like both climbed out of the watery abyss unharmed, but their dignity was shot.

And there’s no quick fix for a shattered sense of pride (speaking from experience).
