How many drones does it take to smash several light bulbs?
Why put yourself through the effort of breaking out a ladder and putting yourself at risk of carpel tunnel by screwing in a light bulb yourself when you can get a drone to do it for you?
In the latest feat of human innovation/laziness, drone technology has been harnessed to complete one of the most painless household chores going.
And if this video is anything to go by, it would be much less of a hassle to apply human labour to problem than fiddling around with a mini spaceship.
Marek Baczynski and his mates persevered through near misses and a bin full of broken glass to get the job done, eventually celebrating their light bulb moment.
So, just how many drones does it take to change a light bulb?
Apparently only two - but it also takes nine light bulbs to smash before you can flick the switch on.
“We spent a whole day trying with a Eachine E30W and failed every time,” drone operator Sven said on YouTube.
“Next time we tried with a Syma X5C-1 and it took about 10 minutes to get it right.”
As far as making life easier, it would be better if these drones could do some of the grosser jobs around the home – like cleaning the toilet or trimming your father’s John Howard eyebrows.
