Helpful elephant picks up dropped selfie stick

Jock is possibly the world's most helpful elephant.

When South African man Adrian Fowler was riding atop Jock's back on a recent safari in Victoria Falls, he tossed his selfie stick to the ground... and Jock kindly fetched it for him.

Fowler's GoPro recorded this dizzying footage of Jock scooping up the stick with his trunk.

Like humans, elephants seem to have developed a taste for selfies. The world's first "elphie" (geddit?!) was supposedly taken in 2014 by an African elephant named Latabe, who captured this photo when Scott Brierley dropped his phone on a visit to West Midlands Safari Park in England:

In May 2015, an American man travelling in Thailand captured this incredible shot when an elephant snatched his GoPro camera:

"I got the selfie of a lifetime, which I can't take full credit for," Christian LeBlanc told ABC News. "Elephants are incredibly intelligent, and it definitely makes you wonder if it was a conscious action."
