Tom Holland and Zendaya were told not to date but 'ignored' Spider-Man producers
Co-stars and off-screen couple Tom Holland and Zendaya were actually warned not to date ahead of the latest Spider-Man movie, according to producers.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Spider-Man: No Way Home producer Amy Pascal said that she had specifically asked for them not to fall for each other.
"I took Tom and Zendaya aside, separately, when we first cast them and gave them a lecture," Pascal, 63, revealed. "Don't go there — just don't. Try not to."

Did they listen? Short answer: No.
Pascal said she also warned Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone about off-set romances when they played Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). The pair dated for four years, before splitting in 2015, a year after their final Amazing Spider-Man flick hit theatres.
"I gave the same advice to Andrew and Emma. It can just complicate things, you know?" the producer explained.

"They all ignored me."
Holland and Zendaya have been the subject of dating rumours since their Spiderman debut in 2017. Sources told People at the time the actors had been "super careful" keeping their relationship "private and out of the public eye".
"But they've gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another," they added.

Holland and Zendaya were then photographed kissing in a car in footage obtained by Page Six after denying their off-screen romance for years. They eventually went Instagram official in September after Holland shared a sweet snap of the pair together in their dressing room.
"My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when your up xxx," he captioned the post.
"Calling now♥️," Zendaya replied in the comments.
