Dark and eerie. First full teaser for The Jungle Book couldn't be further from 1967 original

It's been almost 50 years since Walt Disney taught us all about "the bare necessities of life", with a little help from a boy named Mowgli and a bear named Baloo in The Jungle Book.

Now, five decades after the 1967 flick hit screens, we have an all new live-action adaptation from the Disney studio. And well, the CGI-filled epic is kind of dark and amazing. 

Recognise the voiceover? Yep, that's Scarlett Johansson as Kaa!

Elf director Jon Favreau is helming the remake of the classic kids' movie, set to hit Australian cinemas in April, 2016.
