Springsteen’s new dream

Since 2001’s The Rising, “The Boss” has been pretty busy – five albums in seven years, 11 Grammys and non-stop touring around the world. But far from deteriorating the quality of his music, this fast-paced work ethic seems to perfectly fit him.

Bruce Springsteen’s newest album, Working on a Dream, will hit the stores in Australia on January 23 – not two years after the acclaimed Magic.

Produced by Brendan O'Brien and reuniting Springsteen with the E-Street Band for the third time in the new millennium, Working on a Dream promises to continue on the same path as its predecessor –Magic was widely hailed as Springsteen’s return to rock.

“Over the past 10 years with Brendan, our ability to get records done and to work on a variety of projects at the same time (yes, we can multi-task!) has allowed us to get a steadier stream of our best music out to our fans,” Springsteen wrote on his official website. “This is something I've always wanted to do. We found time to book sessions, get the band while it was hot off the road, write and record a new record, while giving our audience what I hope was some of the best E Street shows we've ever done. We're excited about you hearing this music.”

In the meanwhile, Springsteen’s track “The Wrestler”, written for the movie by the same name, has been nominated for a Golden Globe and looks a like a sure contender for the Oscars. Now the only thing left to hope is for “The Boss” to visit Australian shores soon!
