“You guys know I don’t like pain, and I want to be cosy and comfy, and I needed recommendations on how to recover the best way after my hysterectomy,” she said on TikTok.
“If I’m missing anything, mamas, anybody who has gotten a hysterectomy with the big cut, please help. I don’t want to feel pain. If you know me, I’m a baby. I don’t like pain. I don’t like any type of uncomfortableness.”
Polizzi said she’d received many questions about why she would be having an open abdominal hysterectomy instead of a laparoscopic one, explaining that it was to ensure her surgeon removed all the cancer.
“He’s got to do the C-section cut to get everything out,” she explained.
“So that’s what we’re dealing with, and that’s what it’s got to be. And I know the recovery is way worse.”
Polizzi told her followers she would keep them updated on the surgery, which was happening “soon”.
She first announced her stage 1 cervical cancer diagnosis in February.
“Obviously, not the news that I was hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early. Thank freaking God!” she said at the time.
Adenocarcinoma is “a type of cancer that starts in mucus-producing (glandular) cells”, according to the Cancer Council.

It occurs higher up in the cervix, making it difficult to diagnose. Adenocarcinomas account for 25 per cent of cervical cancers.
Polizzi encouraged her female followers to stay on top of their health, urging them to get their Pap smears done.
“I’ve been struggling with abnormal Pap smears for three or four years now, and now look at me,” she said.

“Instead of just putting it off because I didn’t want to go, and it hurt, and I was scared, no, I just went and did it. And it was there, cancer is in there.
“But it’s stage 1, and it’s curable.”
Polizzi has three children with her husband, Jionni LaValle: Lorenzo Dominic LaValle, 13, Giovanna Marie LaValle, 11, and Angelo James LaValle, 7.
