Earlier this week he was admitted to hospital with COVID-19 symptoms, but TMZ reports that he is now attached to a ventilator as his condition worsens.

The R&B singer, with hits including 'Down on Me' and 'Don't Tell 'Em', is just 33 years old.

"It's unclear how long he's been admitted, or how long he's had the virus ... but he is not doing well," a source told TMZ.

Musicians including 50 Cent and Chance the Rapper have sent Jeremih their prayers as he recovers, asking fans to do the same.

50 Cent wrote on Instagram: "pray for my boy Jeremih he's not doing good this covid s--t is real." He added, "he's in ICU in Chicago."
