Shannon Bennett and Madeleine West spotted kissing in Byron Bay amid separation

After 13 years and six kids together, Shannon Bennett has no plans to give up on his marriage to Madeleine West just yet.

According to Woman's Day, the celebrity chef is reportedly "desperate" to reconcile with the Playing For Keeps actress and is pulling out all the stops to win back her affections.

"Shannon is willing to do whatever it takes to woo her back," a source told the magazine.

So far, it seems to be working as the exes were recently spotted sharing a kiss during a family holiday in Byron Bay with their six kids, Phoenix, 12, Hendrix, 10, Xascha, 8, Xanthe, 6, and twins Xalia and Margaux, 4. West's mum also joined them on the vacation. (The photos appear in Woman's Day.)

In the weeks since their August split, Bennett, 42, has made known his desire to get back together with West, 38. Last month, the former MasterChef guest judge revealed he had the names of West and their six kids tattooed on his chest.

"It is my kids' names backwards and Madeleine, so I can see them every morning in the mirror," he told the Daily Mail at the time.

Then during his restaurant launch weeks after their split was made public, he expressed his hopes in "reconnecting" with his estranged wife.

"We're reconnecting and it's great," he told the Herald Sun. "The bottom line is Madeleine and I care about each other deeply and we're not letting anything go at all."

He may be in with a chance. Last month, in an interview with Stellar, West didn't rule out at a chance at reconciliation.

"We're not currently together. We're striving to reconnect as friends and parents, but who knows what the future holds?" she said.
