Samuel Johnson gets emotional after 'Dancing With the Stars' performance dedicated to late sister Connie

Samuel Johnson gave an emotional performance on last night's episode of Dancing With the Stars, leaving himself and the audience in tears.

The 41-year-old took to the floor with dance partner Jorja Freeman, with the pair dedicating their performance to the actor's sister Constance 'Connie' Johnson, who died in 2017 after her third battle with cancer.

Johnson and Freeman danced along to the Wiz Khalifa track featuring Charlie Puth called 'See You Again' -- the song was written as a tribute to the late Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker, who died in a tragic car crash in 2013. But on Monday's show, the song was played in memory of Connie.

"It's been a long day without you, my friend / And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again," are the opening lyrics of the song.

Following their performance, co-host Amanda Keller asked Johnson how he was feeling, but the visibly emotional star could barely answer.

"All the feelings. Can you feel it?" he replied, as he held back tears.

Earlier in the episode, Johnson also opened up about the inspiration behind his performance, revealing it had everything to do with his sister.

"My memorable year is 2017, the year I lost my sister. She left this extraordinary legacy for the country," he said. "It's not the cancer that's making me crying -- it's all she did for me. The biggest thing she taught me is that now is awesome and to insist on joy.

"'I had an extraordinary relationship with my sister over 40 years. We are telling that entire story -- the entire relationship, not just a cancer patient," he said of the dance. "We are condensing time into one minute and we're going to tell the whole story."
