Sam Armytage gives the paparazzi a taste of their own medicine

Sam Armytage has papped the paparazzi.

On Wednesday, the Sunrise presenter was at Sydney's Centennial Dog Park with her dog Banjo, when she noticed a man with a camera taking photos of her.

"There's a paparazzi in the tree at the dog park," the 41-year-old captioned the image, circling a set of trees with an editing tool. "And I'm not even the news this week."

Sam then shared a second photo, which was zoomed in, to show a man kneeling down while looking through his camera lens in her direction.

"Not even bothering to hide today," she wrote, including the hashtags #a--holes #paparaazi #stillharassingme"

Sam has had a troubled relationship with paparazzi in the past.

In January, police were called to her street in North Bondi after a neighbour came to her aid when a photographer tried to take photos of her and Banjo -- who Sam had only recently brought home for the first time.

Sam's neighbour allegedly scratched the glass of the photographer's camera equipment. Police confirmed to Confidential that no charges were laid and that "neither parties wanted any further police action."

Confidential also reported that a number of paps were pleased Sam had acquired a puppy because it meant she'd go for walks more often.

"A pap pic of Sam Armytage always makes for a good payday," a photographer told the publication. "As soon as she bought that labrador, we all knew it would mean she would be out on the street more often walking him. It makes our job easier."

And in December 2016, Daily Mail were forced to apologise after publishing pap photos of Sam with captions including, "granny panties showing a visible line"
