Rose McGowan alleges Harvey Weinstein raped her in fiery return to Twitter
Actress Rose McGowan has accused Harvey Weinstein of raping her. The claim comes one day after having her Twitter account temporarily suspended following her criticism of the disgraced Hollywood producer.
On October 12, the Charmed actress, 44, made the allegation in a torrent of tweets aimed at Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
"I told the head of your studio that HW raped me," she began, with "HW" appearing to be a reference to disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein.
"Over & over I said it. He said it hadn’t been proven. I said I was the proof. I had already sold a script I wrote to your studio, it was in development. When I heard a Weinstein bailout was in the works," she continued, not revealing the name of the executive who rebuffed her.
"I forcefully begged studio head to do the right thing. I was ignored. Deal was done. Amazon won a dirty Oscar," she concluded.

At least eight women have come forward, according to reports, with multiple women accusing Harvey of rape. Rose has in the past said that she was "raped by a Hollywood studio head" and a New York Times report last week said that "an episode in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival" prompted Weinstein to pay her a confidential $100,000 settlement."
