Robert Irwin shares photo of himself feeding same crocodile as late father Steve Irwin

Robert Irwin continues to follow in his father's footsteps.

On July 4, the 15-year-old wildlife expert shared a touching tribute to his father, late zookeeper and Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin, with an Instagram photo of himself feeding the exact same crocodile his father once did, 15 years later.

In the side-by-side photo, Robert is the spitting image of his father as he bravely feeds a meal to an enormous reptile named Murray.

"Dad and me feeding Murray… same place, same croc — two photos 15 years apart," the Australia Zoo ambassador captioned the sweet photo.

Robert's followers praised the photo and its touching message in the comments, including Dr. Chris Brown, who wrote: "So special. And so much style mate!" 

Added The Wiggles' Anthony Field: "That is awesome!!!!!"

In 2006, Steve tragically passed away at age 44 after being stung by a stingray. On social media, Robert, his sister Bindi, now  20, and mum Terri, 54, regularly celebrate Steve's life and legacy.

In June, Robert shared a heartwarming note a flight attendant slipped him on US Father's Day, in which she wrote that she believed Steve would have been "proud" of him.
