Reese Witherspoon's mum texts her about Big Little Lies' sex scenes: See their cute exchange!

Reese Witherspoon's mum is keeping it real, you guys, and the actress is letting everybody know.

Following Sunday night’s episode of Reese’s new show, Big Little Lies, the 40-year-old actress shared a screenshot of a text message from her mother, Betty Witherspoon:

"I saw Little Lies tonight and I liked it," Betty wrote.

Reese replied, "Great!! Tonight was a good one."

"Lots of sex yes," Betty responded. As you do.

Obviously, Reese found the whole exchange hilarious and proceeded to share the banter with her fans.

She captioned her post, "If you missed #BigLittleLies last night ... #SpoilerAlert !! 😂 #TextsFromMom #BettyKnowsBest."

It’s not the first time the grandmum to Ava, 17, Deacon, 13, and Tennessee, 4, critiqued a show, either.

Betty recently reviewed La La Land and Manchester by the Sea for her daughter.

"Ryan Gosling, hot. Love, Mom," Reese shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January.  As for Manchester by the Sea, the Oscar winner shared her mother's thoughts: "Orphans. Men. Sad. Love, Mom."

Nor is it the first time we've seen such amusing text messages from Betty. Indeed Reese regularly shares them to social media using the hashtag #BettyKnowsBest.

"Yes Reese remember always be tough and keep your standards high!" Betty wrote late last year.

And who could forget her pre-Oscars well wishes when she wrote, "Thanks for the wonderful movies." 

It would appear that yes, Betty does know best.
