Real Housewives of Orange County star Braunwyn Windham-Burke splits from girlfriend Kris

Braunwyn Windham-Burke and her girlfriend Kris have called it quits!

The Real Housewives of Orange County star, who came out as gay last year, split from her first girlfriend a month ago, multiple outlets report.

The pair went public with their relationship in December 2020, shortly after she'd come out.

The exes reportedly met on a dating app.

In December last year, the TV star revealed she was a lesbian in an interview with GLAAD. Despite coming out as gay, she has chosen to remain married to her husband of 20 years, Sean Burke.

"I've always known it. But it took me personally 42 years to be comfortable enough in my own skin to say that," she said at the time.

Braunwyn shares seven kids with Sean: Bella, 20, Rowan, 18, Jacob, 15, seven-year-old twins Caden and Curren, Koa, five, and Hazel, two.

She said she'd always known she was attracted to women.

"I got married very young and I never thought about it," she said. "So to be 42 … I'm just now starting to feel like I'm becoming the woman I was supposed to be. So for me to be living completely authentically and say, 'I'm a lesbian. That was who I have always been.'"

Braunwyn also admitted she was in "unchartered territory" as she embarked on an open marriage with Sean.

"I don't have a role model for this. I don't have anyone to go to for answers. So right now, we're just doing our own way. You know, Sean and I are still married. I plan on staying married … we're raising the kids together. He's my best friend," she said.

"I mean, we go to parties together! She came over the other night, hung out with the family, had dinner with us. I mean, it's only as weird as you make it."
